United Family Extends Monopoly Game to All Banners

LUBBOCK, Texas — The United Family launched its seventh annual Monopoly Collect and Win game on Feb. 6. For the first time, consumers who visit United Supermarkets, Market Street, Albertsons Market, Amigos and United Express stores in New Mexico and the Dallas-Fort Worth and west Texas regions will be able to play for a share of more than $80 million in prizes.

At participating locations, customers will receive game tickets with each transaction and can earn extra tickets by purchasing products marked with bonus game tags.

More than 150,000 prizes are available, including three $1-million grand prizes and three $500,000 dream vacation homes. Customers can win by collecting stickers and redeeming them in-store or online, or by revealing an instant win game piece.

"The opportunity to have the Monopoly Collect and Win game available at The United Family of stores is a great way to reward our guests for their everyday purchases," stated Wes Jackson, chief merchandising officer for The United Family. "It brings a fun and festive atmosphere into our stores."

The United Family will also run a "PACK-UR-BAGS" sweepstakes for its rewards program members from Feb. 11 to May 12 in conjunction with the Monopoly Collect and Win game. Rewards program members will automatically be entered to win one of six dream vacations valued at $20,000. Additionally, customers can enter to win additional trips, gift cards and other prizes when using their rewards account at checkout. One entry will be awarded for each $10 spent during the sweepstakes.
