United States Oil and Gas Names Committe Chairman

AUSTIN, Texas -- United States Oil and Gas Corp. selected David Lindemann as chairman of its Audit Committee, the company announced. The Committee, which is accountable to the board of directors, oversees the integrity of the company's financial statements, its accounting and financial reporting process, its accounting policies and practices, and its system of internal control over financial reporting, according to the announcement.

"David is a great choice for Audit Committee Chairman," said CEO Alex Tawse. "His accounting experience and business leadership brings additional value to our corporate structure and governance. He will play a key role in our continued efforts to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the reporting process."

Lindemann, a CPA who received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Professional Public Accounting from the University of Texas, has worked as director of finance for Deverus, an Austin-based private software company.
