Wal-Mart Expanding in Nebraska
FREMONT, Neb. -- Convenience store and petroleum retailers in Nebraska will have some new competition next month as Wal-Mart begins expanding throughout the state beginning with a store in Fremont, Neb.
Stacy Thiessen, assistant manager at Wal-Mart, told the Fremont (Neb.) Tribune the gas will be priced "competitively," and she explained that when customers buy a gift card from Wal-Mart, they will receive a 3-cent discount on every gallon they purchase. The program is similar to other outlets where Wal-Mart offers gas.
The gas station will debut June 25 at a completely renovated Wal-Mart Supercenter.
