Wallis Cos. Closes Deal to Boost Missouri C-store Portfolio

ST. LOUIS — Wallis Cos. has built up its convenience store presence in the metropolitan area here by closing on its acquisition of Dirt Cheap and U-Gas locations.

The transaction consisted of 13 Dirt Cheap locations, 19 U-Gas convenience stores, one commissary operation and one undeveloped parcel for future store development. The deal was announced in July, as CSNews Online previously reported.

There are no immediate changes planned for store operations.

Founded in 1968 and based in Cuba, Mo., Wallis Cos. is a petroleum distributor and convenience store operator. Its portfolio now includes more than 1,000 employees and services more than 230 convenience store locations in the region.
