West Virginia Town Gets Sheetz for a Day
FAIRMONT, W.V. -- Fairmont residents who have been clamoring on Twitter and Facebook for a Sheetz store in their town got a potential preview yesterday when the convenience store chain sent representatives to give them a "Sheetz for a day" experience, reported WDTV.com.
Sheetz employees brought a coffee truck, baked goods, games and prizes to town to show their appreciation to potential customers.
"We've had so many requests, more than we've ever had on our Facebook page for our store. So, we wanted to show those folks appreciation and that we hear them. We do want to put a store down here," said John Notte, manger of coffee concepts and event marketing for Sheetz.
There is no guarantee that this means Sheetz will open a store in the town. However, company officials are reportedly in talks with realtors to scout potential locations.
