Western Refining Leases 11 Locations From Polk Oil
TAOS, N.M. -- Western Refining has entered a long-term lease with Polk Oil, according to a Taos News report. It will take over the operation of 11 gas stations and convenience stores in Northern New Mexico.
Western Refining will convert the stores to its Giant brand over the next two months, said company spokesman Gary Hanson. No details of the lease agreement were released.
No changes have been made to a special use permit recently granted to Polk Oil, according to the Taos County Planning Department. The permit allows the construction of a 5,200-square-foot store and 12-pump gas station at a site where a Chevron station is currently located.
Western Refining currently operates 222 c-stores and gas stations in Arizona, Colorado, Texas and New Mexico.
