Nature valley Fruit Twists
General Mills provides a new convenience channel exclusive in the form of Nature Valley Fruit Twists. These 100-percent natural fruit snacks are gluten-free and provide two servings of fruit in each 1.27-ounce package. Nature Valley Fruit Twists come in either cherry or strawberry flavor and carry a suggested retail price of $1.39. They were selected as one of the top new products in the 2011 NACS Show Cool New Products Preview Room, the company said.

Smokehouse Fresh Jerky
Jack Link's Beef Jerky launched a new line of Smokehouse Fresh Jerky, using a reformulated recipe and made from premium cuts of meat. It is available in four varieties: Mega Jerky, which comes in Original, Hot and Teriyaki flavors for $2.29 each; Meat Stick, which comes in Hot, Pepperoni and Teriyaki flavors for $1.29 each; Jerky Strips, which come in Original, Pepper, Teriyaki and Wood-Smoked for 99 cents each; and Jerky Medallions, which come in Original, Hot, Peppered and Teriyaki flavors at 99 cents per four. Additionally, the new Smokehouse merchandising system features a rack with easy-to-clean, easy-to-rotate, peel-and-go freshness trays, according to the company.

Snack food company Thanasi Foods added Slammer packs to its all-star lineup of BIGS Sunflower Seeds. Consumers will get more for their money when purchasing the 2.75-ounce tubes packed with sunflower seeds in either Salted & Roasted Original or Vlasic Dill Pickle flavor. Each Slammer has a suggested retail price of 99 cents. Other packages of BIGS Seeds come in Bacon Salt Sizzlin', FRANK'S REDHOT Buffalo Wing, Zesty Ranch, and Sea Salt & Black Pepper flavors, as well as Original and Dill.

Angry Birds Fruit Snacks come in 2.25-ounce and 5-ounce peg bags for 89 cents and $1.59 respectively, as well as 10-packs of 0.9-ounce pouches. Angry Birds Gummies come in 3.5-ounce theater bags for $1.29 to $1.69, and 5-ounce peg bags for $1.49 to $1.69. The candies come in the shapes of the birds, as well as their archenemy Green Pig.
