White Hen Gets "Charged" Up

LOMBARD, Ill. -- Beginning this week, White Hen Pantry Inc. if offering Charged!, a new coffee that has 50 percent more caffeine than the chain's Original Blend.

Extra caffeine is the hottest trend in brewed coffee and White Hen's Charged! coffee has garnered favorable response from customers, according to Ari Goldsmith, White Hen's advertising and marketing manager. "Its smooth taste leaves the White Hen customer with the bark -- not the bite," the company claims.

To help launch the new Charged! coffee, White Hen is bringing back "White Hen Wednesdays." Customers can get any size and any flavor coffee for 50 cents all day long on Wednesdays. White Hen serves more than 12 varieties of coffee throughout the day, and allows customers to personalize their hot beverage experience with flavored syrups, cinnamon, nutmeg, dairy and non-dairy creamers and sugar and sugar-substitutes.
