Wilson Farms Partners With IRI

CHICAGO -- Information Resources Inc. announced Monday that Wilson Farms Neighborhood Food Stores has chosen IRI as a market information partner. The chain will share its point-of-sale (POS) data from all of its stores with IRI to be incorporated into the new IRI AllScan Convenience Store Tracking service.

"The IRI AllScan service will enhance our category managers' ability to make fact-based decisions on assortment, procurement, merchandising and pricing," said Nick Gallegos, VP of sales and marketing and general partner of Wilson Farms, in a release from IRI.

The scanner-based POS tracking service's aim is to use data and business insights to help manufacturers and retailers improve category management and retail execution across the convenience channel, the release stated. The service is based on 11,000 POS scan stores, which surpasses other offerings in the marketplace.

Wilson Farms Neighborhood Food Stores operates 199 convenience store and gas station locations across New York State.
