Wilson Farms Sells Bread for Charity

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Wilson Farms, operator of nearly 200 convenience stores headquartered here, is gearing up to launch a promotion for the entire month of March, where a portion of the proceeds of all Stroehmann packaged bread products will be donated to the Variety Kids Telethon and Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo, the company stated.

"Wilson Farms is delighted to be working closely with George Weston/Stroehmann Bakery for such a worthy cause," company president and CEO, Paul Nanula, said in a statement. "We have had a long-standing relationship with the bakery and are thrilled to be involved at the store level to help raise money for the Variety Kids Telethon and Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo."

Included bread products are all Stroehmann, D'Italiano and Dutch Country Breads, according to the company.

"We are extremely excited about the opportunity to work with such a fine local company as Wilson Farms to help raise much needed dollars for the Variety Kids Telethon," Frank Catarisano, the vice president of sales for George Weston/Stroehmann Bakery, said in a statement. "We are honored and appreciative that Wilson Farms has asked us to join them in this exciting fundraising effort."

The fundraiser will run through the month of March 2008 at participating Western New York Wilson Farms Neighborhood Food Stores, according to the company.
