Yesway to Begin Transitioning Stores Next Week
OTTUMWA, Iowa — Yesway convenience stores, operated by BW Gas & Convenience Holdings LLC, will begin transitioning the 21 Iowa convenience stores it purchased from Kum & Go LC to its banner, reported the Ottumwa Courier.
Yesway plans to keep the employees who currently work at the c-stores following the transition.
"We think the current employees are a tremendous asset," said Jayne Rice, a director with BW's parent company Brookwood Financial Partners, told the news outlet. "We are proud to continue employing all of the store employees."
The rebranding begins with four stores in Ottumwa that will undergo the transition on Aug. 1-2.
BW Gas & Convenience plans to acquire between 600 and 1,000 c-stores throughout the United States over the next several years, as CSNews Online previously reported.
"Leadership wanted to create a compelling brand name for a family of convenience stores across the United States that would resonate with [the] consumer," Rice said. "The name was chosen because of its positivity. It suggests service that can make anything possible."
Yesway's mission is to be friendly, helpful and proactive, according to the company.
