Yesway Poised to Enter Four More States

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Yesway is continuing to branch out from its Iowa roots with plans to add stores under its managements in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri this year.

Along with the expansion into four new states, the convenience store brand is expected to employ more than 1,000 people by the second quarter of the year. One new employee is Jamie Hatch, who joined Brookwood Financial Partners LLC as vice president of construction and maintenance for BW Gas & Convenience Holdings LLC.

West Des Moines-based Yesway is the operating brand for BW Gas & Convenience. BW Gas is a division of Beverly, Mass.-based Brookwood Financial Partners.

Hatch's primary responsibilities will be to lead all aspects of his department while providing expertise and oversight to the firm's remodeling, construction, and facility upkeep projects. He will also assemble and oversee teams of local building contractors across the firm's expanded Midwest region.

Hatch will report to Brian Trout, Yesway's senior vice president of operations, and will work out of the firm's West Des Moines headquarters.

"Our value-add strategy in the convenience store space is founded on our ability to improve and reposition our assets within their respective markets," Trout said. "Jamie brings decades of industry experience and expertise to the table. We are very excited to have someone with his construction management and capital planning background joining the Yesway team."

Prior to joining Yesway, Hatch was president of Commercial and Home Services in Waukee, Iowa, where he managed all aspects of commercial and residential projects. He also oversaw the remodel of more than 100 Kum & Go Convenience stores throughout the Midwest.

Prior to this, he was a project manager and estimator with Allied Construction in Des Moines.

In all, Yesway plans to acquire, improve and rebrand 500 convenience stores in selected regions of the United States over the next several years.
