Aloha Petroleum Awards One Lucky Customer Free Gas

HONOLULU — Aloha Petroleum Ltd. awarded Dolly Hinau from Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, free gas for a year.

As CSNews Online previously reported, Aloha Petroleum took first place in Honolulu Star-Advertiser's 2016 Hawaii's Best People's Choice Awards as Hawaii's Best Gasoline Station. In response to the annual readers' poll, the retailer gave away one free year of gasoline, with Hinau named the winner.

“We had a tremendous response to the sweepstakes, which was held in July at our Aloha Island Mart locations on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island,” said Larry Adams, Aloha Petroleum director of sales and marketing. “Dolly entered to win at our Aloha Kehalani fuel station, where she is a regular customer.”

Richard Parry, president and CEO of Aloha Petroleum, said upon hearing the news of the People’s Choice Award in July: "We're honored that our customers voted us Hawaii's Best in the Star-Advertiser's People's Choice Awards. We can't thank them enough, but we're going to try by giving away gasoline for a year free to one lucky winner."

Honolulu-based Aloha Petroleum Ltd. is a subsidiary of Sunoco LP and one of the largest gasoline marketers and convenience store operators in the state of Hawaii, It markets via approximately 100 Shell, Aloha, and Mahalo branded fueling stations and 46 Aloha Island Marts, four Menehune Food Marts and two Subways throughout the Aloha State.
