Aloha Petroleum to Launch Dunkin' Donuts Brand in Hawaii

HONOLULU — Aloha Petroleum Ltd. is welcoming Dunkin' Donuts to the Aloha State through a multi-unit store development agreement with the coffee chain.

Under the agreement, Aloha Petroleum will develop 15 new Dunkin' Donuts restaurants on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii (the Big Island). The first restaurant is slated to open in 2017.

"We are excited to have the opportunity to launch the Dunkin' Donuts brand in Hawaii, and look forward to opening our first location early next year," said Richard Parry, president and CEO of Aloha Petroleum. "This new business venture will complement our existing retail offerings throughout the islands and help us diversify our portfolio."

Hawaii marks the 42nd state of entry for Dunkin' Donuts. Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin' Brands Group Inc. has more than 11,700 restaurants in 43 countries worldwide.

Dunkin' Donuts offerings include: hot and iced flavored coffees, lattes, macchiatos, espresso, cappuccinos, Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup pods, Coolatta frozen drinks, doughnuts, muffins, bagels, breakfast and bakery sandwiches, and a DDSmart menu featuring better-for-you items.

Aloha Petroleum, a subsidiary of Sunoco LP, has approximately 100 Shell, Aloha and Mahalo branded fueling stations, plus 46 Aloha Island Marts, four Menehune Food Marts and two Subway locations throughout Hawaii.
