Amerada Hess Expands ATM Contract

HOUSTON -- Cardtronics and Amerada Hess Corp. announced the renewal and extension of a multi-year ATM agreement affecting 590 Hess Express store locations. This renewal and extension solidifies the relationship between Cardtronics, the world's largest owner/operator of ATMs, and Amerada Hess, one of the largest company-operated convenience retailing networks in the United States.

As Hess's exclusive ATM provider, Cardtronics will deploy and operate ATMs in 370 Hess Express stores throughout the Eastern Seaboard. In 2006, Cardtronics will extend its ATM full-service program to cover an additional 220 locations in Florida.

"It is extremely gratifying to renew and expand our ATM service network with such an outstanding company," said Brian Archer, executive vice president, sales at Cardtronics. "Amerada Hess is a publicly traded, fully integrated energy company and they are extremely dedicated to every single customer who walks into their stores. In support of their customer service model, we ensure satisfaction by delivering on our promises so Hess can deliver on theirs."

Rick Lawlor, vice president, c-store marketing at Amerada Hess, said, "Our goal is to create a high level of convenience for our customers. Quick, reliable access to cash goes hand in hand with this philosophy. Cardtronics has done an exceptional job as our ATM provider for several years and we're excited to move forward with additional ATM coverage."
