ampm Offering Exclusive StarCraft Collectible Cups

LOS ANGELES -- ampm teamed up with Blizzard Entertainment Inc. to offer an exclusive set of "StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm" collectible cups.

The four-cup set, depicting the hit video game, is presented in what ampm calls a next-generation display piece, featuring a branded StarCraft II base and a header card.

"These cups showcase stunning artwork from Blizzard’s beloved real-time strategy franchise and StarCraft players will be blown away," said Donna Sanker, ampm marketing vice president. "With a limited supply available at each participating ampm location, collectors will be challenged with the mission of acquiring a complete set."

The promotional 32-ounce cups were first sold at ampm convenience stores yesterday.

This promotion marks the second time ampm partnered with Blizzard Entertainment. As CSNews Online reported last year, the two companies collaborated to offer four "World of Warcraft" collectible cups.

Founded in 1978, Los Angeles-based ampm has more than 950 locations in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Arizona.

Blizzard Entertainment Inc. is a division of Santa Monica, Calif.-based Activision Blizzard. "StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm" was released on March 12.
