AriZona Summer Promotion Featured at 7-Eleven

7-Eleven Inc., which operates more than 5,700 convenience stores throughout North America, launched an exclusive summer promotion with Lake Success, N.Y.-based AriZona Beverage Co. that will feature AriZona tea as a new 7-Eleven Frut Cooler flavor.

7-Eleven Frut Cooler beverages, originally introduced during the summer of 1999, are non-carbonated, semi-frozen beverages. The new 7-Eleven Frut Cooler flavor, which features AriZona raspberry green tea with ginseng and honey, will be available in up to 5,200 participating 7-Eleven stores later this month.

"Customers expect 7-Eleven to be at the top of the curve in the beverage business," said Kris Nelson, 7-Eleven category manager. "Innovative 7-Eleven Frut Cooler varieties, particularly this cutting-edge AriZona flavor, bring a refreshing taste -- and a boost of energy -- to the hot summer months."

The promotion will be supported in stores with AriZona-branded signage and point-of-sale displays. Known for its innovative packaging and designer labels, this is the first time AriZona will be available to consumers as a semi-frozen beverage.

"It will be interesting to see how consumers, used to drinking our products out of bottles and cans, will take to the new 'big chill' version of our products," said John Balboni, president and chief business development officer of AriZona Beverage Co. "We had a frozen machine in our office for a while and couldn't make it fast enough for our employees. We anticipate our consumers will also enjoy this frozen beverage refreshment."
