Philip Morris, headquartered in New York, recently made a series of appointments including Kelly Ritter in Flint, Mich., Chris Little in Kansas City, Mo. and Huan Xie in Dallas were all named sales development associates. Christine Keller in Pittsburgh, Joseph Workman in Lexington, Ky. and Keith Luck in Dayton, Ohio, were named unit managers. In addition, Michael Rudnicki was named section sales director in Houston.

Concord, Mass.-based Welch's named Peter Martin vice president, marketing.

Anheuser-Busch Inc. announced a series of promotions including Bill Laufer as vice president, convenience, club and mass-merchandise sales, and Joe Patti as vice president, retail planning and category management. The St. Louis-based company also announced William L. Rammes retired as vice president, corporate human resources. Rammes is succeeded by Mark T. Bobak. Furthermore, Patrick T. Stokes was promoted to senior executive vice president of Anheuser-Busch Inc.

Swedish Match North America Inc., headquartered in Richmond, Va., has appointed Leonard "Len" Hendrickson to vice president, CIO; Roy Reynolds to senior sales analyst in the Richmond sales department; Ed Gee to director, marketing research; Aaron Choate to business development manager for the Southwest sales region; Gary Poehlmann to director of national accounts; and Kimberly Bryant to national accounts coordinator.

Don Borzilleri has retired as eastern sales manager after 31 year of service with Marconi Commerce Systems. T.J. White was named his successor at the Greensboro, NC. company. In addition, Brad Resler, to be based in Greensboro, N.C., was name district sales manager.

Follett Corp., an Easton, Pa. manufacturer of ice storage, ice handling and ice beverage dispensing equipment appointed George J. Bauer to director of operations.

Buffalo, N.Y. based Rich Products appointed Mark Stussi to national account technical manger, foodservice division.

Baked goods manufacturer Otis Spunkmeyer, San Leandro, Calif., appointed Diane Wild to the newly created position of director of distributor sales.

Bradenton, Fla.-based branded fruit juice manufacturer Tropicana Products Inc., promoted Beth Bryon-Reasoner to director of immediate-consumption marketing.

Transora appointed Judith Sprieser, former CEO of Sara Lee Foods and Sara Lee Foodservice, to the post of CEO. Chicago-based Transora — comprised of leading companies, including Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble and Kraft — enables its members to streamline business transactions between suppliers, buyers and distributors via the Internet.

Blackwood, N.J.-based Metrologic Instruments Inc. promoted Wes Hoffman to manager, strategic projects. The company also hired Chris Burt as regional sales manager, eastern Canada.
