B2 Beverage Introduces Cream-Based Malternative

CORONA DEL MAR, Calif. -- B2 Beverage Co. has released a non-carbonated tropical fruit and cream flavored beverage line called Hard Creamer and Kalima Hawaiian Hard Creamer. The products are the "first in category," according to the company.

The drinks are expected to hit shelves in the Midwest, including Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. The company expects to distribute Hard Creamer nationwide within a year.

The beverages are designed for adult consumers who look for minimal alcohol flavor in drinks, said B2 Beverage president Tony Valdez in a written statement. He added that Hard Creamer serves as an alternative to the beer, wine and malt beverages available today.

While most products in the malt beverage category are carbonated and similar flavors -- lemon lime or fruit -- the Hard Creamers "look and taste so different from everything else being offered [and] should be very appealing to people looking to enjoy something new," Valdez said.

The first flavors for Hard Creamer being introduced -- Strawberry Daiquiri and Orange Cream -- have black and white packaging. The Kalima Hawaiian Hard Creamer packages feature vintage Hawaiian designs and come in the flavors -- Fuzzy Navel, Tropical Cream and Pina Colada.

The beverages, which come in six-packs of 12-ounce longneck bottles, are ready-to-drink and have an extended shelf life.

A third B2 Beverage line called Sangria is expected to debut later in the year.
