"Big Kahuna" Heads for the Mainland
HONOLULU -- CICO Enterprise, Ltd., which markets The Big Kahuna brand Hawaiian-themed herbal tea line, said it is planning a major product roll out into the continental United States in 2002.
The product line introduction will be spearheaded by a radio campaign targeting Southwest and Northwest markets starting in January, with subsequent exposure to the balance of the U.S. market over the next six months.
The Big Kahuna line is the first single-serve tea product to combine Hawaiian "mamaki" tea with rare Chinese herb blends. Mamaki tea, cultivated only in Hawaii, "has been used by Hawaiians for its natural healing powers for centuries," the company said.
