BP Franchises 28 Indianapolis Locations

INDIANAPOLIS -- BP is offering long-term franchising opportunities for 28 of its Indianapolis-area BP locations, 20 of which will be converted and reimaged form the BP Connect brand to the ampm brand, reported InsideIndianaBusiness.com.

"BP is already a well-known franchisor on the West Coast," said Ben Amante, BP's vice president of franchising in the U.S. "As we launch the ampm franchise in the Eastern U.S., we are applying our breath of experience from our established ampm West Coast operations." The company's West Coast operations include nearly 1,000 locations west of the Rockies and approximately 2,000 internationally. In addition, the ampm concept will bring new food choices and expanded product selection, said Amante.

For the eight other sites -- six are new construction -- buyers will be expected to complete the convenience store build-out or conversion and re-branding to ampm after closing.

All Indianapolis franchise locations are offered with real estate and shall be operated in accordance with a 20-year franchise and fuel supply agreement. Property offers will be accepted on individual and multi-site basis. Chicago-based NRC Realty Advisors is managing the sale for BP, the report stated

The first of several Discovery Day presentations for potential buyers will be held at the Columbia Club in Indianapolis on July 18. Presentations hosted by BP leaders will cover many aspects of the ampm franchise offering, including operations and marketing. BP will also review its fuel offer.
