Casey's Expands Into Tennessee

ANKENY, Iowa -- Casey's General Stores Inc. has completed final due diligence and plans to break ground on its first Tennessee store this June. The Dyersburg location will make Tennessee the 13th state in Casey's area of operations.

"We believe the state of Tennessee provides an excellent opportunity for Casey's," said Robert Myers, president and chief executive officer of Casey's General Stores, Inc. "We plan to open our store in Dyersburg in October. The community is a perfect fit for our business model, particularly our food service program that offers made-from-scratch pizza, homemade donuts, and our new made-to-order sub sandwiches."

The announcement came soon after Casey's completed final due diligence on its first Kentucky store, which was scheduled to break ground in March.

The Iowa-based c-store chain owned and operated 1,686 stores in 11 states as of Jan. 31, 2012.
