Casey's Opens New Store in Lake Park, Minn.
LAKE PARK, Minn. -- A new Casey's General Store now open on Highway 10 here expects to serve hundreds of out-of-towners, as well as residents of the community all year long and during the busy spring and summer seasons, according to a report by the Detroit Lakes Tribune.
"Between the community and Highway 10, we're very optimistic that it's going to go well," Casey's district manager Nancy McNab told the newspaper.
The nearly 4,000-square-foot store -- open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily -- offers a variety of grocery items, propane exchanges, gifts, beer, snacks, a bakery and made-to-order subs along with gasoline and diesel. The store looks a little different than the other Casey's stores, with ceramic tile floors, cherry wood cabinets and a seating area.
"In-store seating is a big deal for us. They've been wanting that for years," McNab said.
Before managers began advertising for employment at the new store, they received a number of applications. And it didn't take that long to hire a full staff.
"It's such a homey community," area supervisor Ann Reurink said.
