CEFCO Acquires Two in Texas

TEMPLE, Texas -- CEFCO Convenience Stores acquired and opened two Texas locations, including its first store in Austin, capital of the Lone Star State.

The Austin convenience store and gas station is located at 14200 Ranch Road 620 N., while the second CEFCO opened in Tyler, Texas, at 5011 Troup Highway, Ste. 8.

"We are excited about both acquired locations as they dovetail with our growth strategies," said Brett Giesick, CEFCO's chief retail officer. "The Austin location is a prime location and is our first location within Austin, Texas. We anticipate rebuilding this location in the near future into our new store design. The location in Tyler, Texas, enhances our already strong presence in east Texas."

Temple, Texas-based CEFCO Convenience Stores was founded in 1979. It is the 30th-largest company-operated chain in the convenience retailing industry, with more than 250 stores in Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana and Arkansas.

CEFCO's new prototype stores incorporate a number of innovative enhancements made possible by an open, fresh design with modern treatments and upgraded finishes.
