CEFCO Adds Sixth Prototype Store

TEMPLE, Texas -- CEFCO Convenience Stores celebrated the opening of its newest prototype store on Friday, Dec. 14. The location, at 111 W. Gassaway St. in Lott, Texas, is the chain's sixth prototype site.

"We invite the public to visit this new CEFCO location and be treated to an exciting shopping experience unmatched by any local convenience retailer," Brett Giesick, CEFCO's chief retail officer, said in a press release.

As CSNews Online previously reported, CEFCO's prototype locations feature numerous innovations and operational enhancements with a fresh and modern design. These innovations include enhanced hot beverage and iced tea programs; an offering of more than 60 varieties of craft and import beers; a full assortment of wines; and expanded offerings of frozen food and tobacco.

According to CEFCO, this new store is part of the chain's growth strategy to add eight organic locations this year, in addition to the 128 Food Fast and Taylor stores it acquired since August 2011.

CEFCO currently operates 250 convenience stores in seven southern states.
