CEFCO Opens First 'New-to-Industry' Store in Alabama

TEMPLE, Texas  — CEFCO Convenience Stores continues to make strides in its expansion plans, marking a milestone in Alabama.

The convenience store operator cut the ribbon on its first new-build location in Alabama on Schillinger Road in South Mobile.

In addition to being the first new-to-industry CEFCO store in the state, the convenience store is the 26th 5,500-square-foot prototype location in the retailer's portfolio. It is the fifth one opened this year.

This latest generation store reflects the latest design and incorporates a number of innovative enhancements made possible by an open, fresh design, with modern treatments, upgraded finishes, and a state-of-the-art car wash, according to CEFCO.

"We are excited to open our very first 'new-to-industry' location in Alabama," said Brett Giesick, chief retail officer for CEFCO Convenience Stores. "This beautiful addition offers our latest hot and cold 'Fresh Eats' grab-n-go offerings, including our 'Fresh Yo' self-service frozen yogurt concept. We invite our customers to stop by and enjoy our best in class experience."

Temple-based CEFCO operates 223 Convenience stores and 21 quick-service restaurants in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.
