Cenex Program Helps Retailers Offer E15

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- CHS Inc. established the Cenex Tank Program, which provides significant financial assistance to any of its 1,400 Cenex-branded locations that want to offer E15 at the pump.

Under the Cenex Tank Program, a significant portion of the cost for Cenex-branded operators to purchase and install an additional storage tank for the purpose of offering E15 will be compensated.

According to Doug Dorfman, vice president of refined fuels for CHS, this move represents the company's leadership in renewable fuels and helps keep the Cenex brand at the forefront in meeting consumer demand for ethanol blends.

“We value our partnership with Cenex retailers and will continue to assist them in their efforts to meet consumer demand for ethanol blends,” said Dorfman. “Supporting ethanol demand also adds value to CHS member owners and farmers.”

More than 90 U.S. retailers in 14 states currently offer E15 -- a blend of 15 percent ethanol and 85 percent gasoline, according Growth Energy, an ethanol advocacy group.
