C.L. Thomas Launches Fuel Management Program
VICTORIA, Texas -- C.L. Thomas Inc., operator of more than 100 Speedy Stop convenience stores, said it is partnering with TelaPoint Inc. to manage its fuel replenishment business.
As part of the deal, Speedy Stop stores have begun installing the TelaFuel Internet software solution to streamline and manage fuel ordering.
With TelaFuel, C.L. Thomas is electronically processing fuel replenishment transactions with company-owned transportation operations and preferred fuel carriers to better manage petroleum inventories and supply logistics, "resulting in lower costs, greater administrative efficiency," said Bill Thomas, president of C.L. Thomas.
"Our decision to implement TelaPoint's Internet supply chain solution is a key component of our ongoing strategy to optimize petroleum supply efficiencies for our Speedy Stop retail operation and for our wholesale clients," Thomas said. "TelaFuel is helping us optimize fuel inventory costs and streamline the reconciliation of petroleum supply transactions through its integration with our PDI petroleum distribution accounting system."
