Clark's Special Donation
OAK BROOK, Ill. -- Clark Retail Enterprises Inc., operator oof more than 1,200 White Hen Pantry, On the Go and Oh! Zone convenience stores, has raised more than $200,000 in 2001 on behalf of Special Olympics in the five Great Lakes states, Clark's core marketplace.
The funds were raised in a comprehensive year-long program that stretched across all of Clark's channels of trade. The Clark 2001 program consisted of an icon sales program at all company-operated and participating franchised locations, along with promotional events and sports sponsorships. In addition to fundraising the company
is committed to promoting education and awareness of Special Olympics through its communication and volunteer program.
"It's been gratifying to watch the evolution of our sponsorship of Special Olympics, which we made our official corporate charity affiliation in 1998, and see our results reach ever-increasing annual totals in the six-figures," said John Matthews, Clark's vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "We look forward to strengthening our partnership in 2002 and celebrating another year of making dreams come true with Special Olympics."
