Clipper Petroleum Introduces Mobile App

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Clipper Petroleum Inc. partnered with OpenStore by GasBuddy to launch a new mobile app and redesign its website.

The Flowery Branch-based operator of 28 convenience stores in Georgia and South Carolina under the Circle M, On the Run and Subway brand names can now offer mobile coupons, as well as boost its social media presence via Facebook and Twitter, without having to maintain information technology systems.

“We are very excited about our partnership with OpenStore in the redesign of our website and debuting our new Clipper mobile app. This opportunity will give us more avenues to connect with our current customers and reach out to new ones. The Clipper mobile app will also allow us to make the buying experience at our stores more convenient and economical for our customers,” said Ed Hong, vice president of retail operations for Clipper Petroleum.

Jason Toews, co-founder and CEO of OpenStore by GasBuddy, added that his company is happy to work with Clipper Petroleum to create a "memorable experience" for its customers.

“OpenStore offers a way to engage with c-store customers on a new level by offering promotions and unique smartphone applications that help increase in-store sales and brand loyalty," he said.

Gaithersburg, Md.-based OpenStore by GasBuddy offer technology solutions intended to increase customer loyalty by providing two-way communication between convenience store operators and their customers.
