CHICAGO — Convenience store retailers understand the important role technology plays in running their businesses — a role that will only continue to grow in the years to come.

With this in mind, Convenience Store News is launching the Technology Academy, an educational platform dedicated to advancing technological expertise in the industry. Through a menu of videos, research articles and live events, convenience retail tech leaders and employees can achieve certified expertise in critical technology areas to make their companies more successful and better serve their customers.

The c-store industry has been talking about the need for education for individuals throughout an organization — from the store level to the C-suite — and we heard you. We have created a curriculum based on five pillars:

  • Store systems,
  • Analytics,
  • Digital commerce,
  • Supply chain/merchandising, and
  • Customer engagement.

As part of our tuition-free platform, individuals can earn social media badges for completing courses.

We are also offering industry experts the opportunity to partner with Convenience Store News and the Technology Academy learning experts to create educational information that will inform the channel and drive business forward.
