Costco selects Gilbarco Fuel Management Services for U.S. and Canada
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Costco Wholesale Corp. of Issaquah, Wash., is deploying Gilbarco Veeder-Root's Fuel Management Services (FMS) at all its locations in the U.S. and Canada -- with 406 locations in 40 U.S. states, and 77 locations in nine Canadian provinces, the vendor reported.
The services will reduce risks and costs related to regulatory compliance and leak detection through continual monitoring of the tank gauge, and remote diagnosis and resolution will be performed by certified technicians that staff Gilbarco Veeder-Root's 24/7 support center in Greensboro N.C., the company reported.
"FMS reduces the total cost of ownership and improves uptime by remotely diagnosing and immediately resolving a large majority of tank gauge alarms that occur at a site," said Sanjay Chowbey, vice president and general manager of service for Gilbarco.
Gilbarco also provides complete c-store monitoring, including energy management, advanced fuel loss and variance analysis, and managed maintenance solutions through a state-of-the art infrastructure that serves over 45,000 sites in the U.S. and Canada.
