Daily’s Turns to Tech to Improve Customer Experience

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Daily's selected NCR's Radiant point-of-sale (RPOS) technology solution in an effort to improve service and reliability at its Florida convenience stores.

According to NCR, Daily's is the first Shell-branded c-store chain to select RPOS following an NCR announcement that its hardware and software solution is now available as a consumer transaction technology option for Shell locations in the United States.

“We operate in an extremely competitive retail environment,” said Aubrey Edge, CEO at First Coast Energy LLP, parent company to Daily's. “At Daily’s, our focus is always on the customer experience. We selected the NCR RPOS solution because we wanted to improve our speed of service, grow our foodservice capabilities and improve uptime. With NCR, Daily’s will utilize advanced marketing capabilities to better engage our shoppers and create a nicer, more personal shopping experience.”

Daily's is putting a strong emphasis on foodservice, a fast-growing segment of the c-store space, in part due to its better-than-average profit margins. The Jacksonville-based c-store operator also implemented NCR's Customer Self Service food ordering solution, designed to create an excellent consumer food experience.

“Daily’s has multiple retail customer touchpoints in fueling, dining and general retail and is the perfect environment for a complete NCR software and hardware retail solution,” said Eric Stecker, vice president and general manager, petroleum and convenience, NCR Retail. “Our focus in working with Daily’s is to make the everyday easier for their employees and shoppers who are at the heart of their business. This technology allows Daily’s to increase the speed of transactions and evolve how they market and serve customers going forward.”

Duluth, Ga.-based NCR's solutions are utilized by more than 60,000 petroleum and convenience sites throughout the world.

Daily's operates 87 convenience stores and gas stations, all located in Florida.
