Discover Offers Cashback Gas Station Bonus

RIVERWOODS, Ill. – Discover Financial Services is offering its Discover More and Discover it cardholders the opportunity to earn a 5-percent cashback bonus on up to $1,500 in gas purchases this summer.

From now through Sept. 30, cardholders can earn up to $75 in cashback bonuses when filling up at the pump. Consumers must first activate the program by logging into the Discover Account Center on the Internet or by calling Discover on the phone.

“Discover cardmembers who are commuting or traveling can earn up to a $75 cashback bonus for the many miles they drive during the summer months,” said Heather L. Roche, vice president of rewards at Discover. “Whether you’re driving to and from games or gatherings, or taking a road trip vacation, we believe the rewards will add up quickly all season long.”

Once customers exceed $1,500 on gas purchases this summer, the cashback bonus reverts to the standard agreed-upon rate.
