'Double Gulp' Gets Downsized at 7-Eleven

DALLAS -- 7-Eleven Inc. recently downsized its "Double Gulp" fountain cup size from 64 ounces to 50 ounces, according to a report by The Daily.

7-Eleven spokesperson Margaret Chabris said the 64-ounce cups were simply too large to fit in the cupholders of most American vehicles.

"It was a request for something that was a little more car-friendly," Chabris told the news outlet. She added that sales of the 50-ounce Double Gulp are now the fastest growing of 7-Eleven's cup sizes.

"If it didn't sell, we wouldn't still be carrying it," Chabris said.
