Customers can download music and other entertainment at the pump with Dresser Wayne's Ovation iX fuel dispenser. The Internet-ready, Wi-Fi capable gas dispenser features a 15-inch touchscreen and speakers, which allows media -- including music and movies -- to be purchased and downloaded to other Wi-Fi enabled devices such as cell phones and PDAs, as well as an Alpine electronics stereo/navigation system that supports Microsoft Windows Automotive solutions. The systems communicate through the common Microsoft Windows CE platform, .NET framework and Bluetooth interfaces. The pump's software supports audio and video, real-time news headlines, traffic and weather information in addition to promotions and specials.
