Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins Collaborate on Iced Coffee Flavors
CANTON, Mass. -- For the first time, Dunkin' Donuts partnered with its sister brand, Baskin-Robbins, to introduce two new flavors of iced coffee inspired by Baskin-Robbins ice cream.
Now available through summer, Dunkin' Donuts' Mint Chocolate Chip Iced Coffee offers a refreshing taste of mint, swirled with chocolate and the flavor of sweet cream, while Old Fashioned Butter Pecan offers the taste of butter roasted pecans and sweet cream, noted the company.
“We are committed to offering our guests familiar flavors with an appealing twist, and we’re particularly excited to bring together Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins for the first time to create two new refreshing iced coffee flavors,” said Stan Frankenthaler, executive chef and vice president of product innovation at Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. “When you combine the flavor of Baskin-Robbins’ popular ice creams like Mint Chocolate Chip or Old Fashioned Butter Pecan with delicious Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee, it’s a sure way to please any ice cream or coffee lover.”
To celebrate its new iced coffee flavors, Dunkin' Donuts is offering a Twitter sweepstakes through Friday, April 5. Each day, the brand will ask a new trivia question about either Baskin-Robbins or iced coffee. Fans who tweet the correct answer @DunkinDonuts using the special hashtag #BRanDD are eligible to win one of two $31 Dunkin' Donuts mGifts, representing 31 Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavors available each month.
The mGift is awarded as a virtual gift card that is sent to either the customer's e-mail address or mobile phone, according to the sweepstakes terms and conditions.
Dunkin' Donuts operates more than 10,000 quick-service restaurants in 32 countries worldwide. For 2012, its restaurants had global franchisee-reported sales of approximately $6.9 billion.
Baskin-Robbins serves customers at nearly 7,000 retail shops in nearly 50 countries, and reported approximately $1.9 billion in sales last year.
Both brands are headquartered in Canton, Mass.
