Eby-Brown Strengthens Foodservice Focus

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Eby-Brown Co. LLC named Mathew Mandeltort as its vice president of foodservice strategy and education. The former corporate foodservice manager is taking on this new role effective immediately.

Mandeltort will be responsible for providing the strategic direction of all Eby-Brown foodservice programs, as well as creating a cohesive brand and marketing strategy that enhances Eby-Brown's existing position as a national foodservice provider.

"Since he joined our team, Mat has exuded passion for the category, sharing his vast experience to make our foodservice programs second to none in the industry," stated Joe Roenna, executive vice president of merchandising, procurement and inventory management for Eby-Brown. "Mat's extensive foodservice knowledge and enthusiasm for the category have been instrumental in creating even greater foodservice value for our customers."

Mandeltort has more than 30 years of experience in foodservice operations. Before joining Eby-Brown in 2014, he worked with industry leaders such as Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants and Marriott Hotels & Resorts. He has also served as a consultant for research and consulting firm Technomic Inc.

Eby-Brown is a privately held convenience store distributor in the United States, servicing retail accounts throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
