Empire Grows With More Stores From CST

DALLAS — Empire Petroleum Partners LLC continues to build up its Texas empire with former Corner Store locations.

The Dallas-based company closed on an acquisition of 17 more convenience stores from San Antonio-based CST Brands Inc. This latest deal closely follows Empire's acquisition of 11 former Corner Store locations in Lubbock last month.

The acquisition of these 28 sites solidifies Empire's already significant operations in Texas and augments its strong and continuing business partnership with Valero, according to the company.

"The addition of these locations increases Empire's market presence in the Dallas market, which is where the company headquarters are located," said David Rabe, Empire's vice president of marketing. "Moreover, the recent CST acquisition further bolsters our Valero relationship."

As in Lubbock, Empire intends to hire as many of the former CST employees as possible to remain at the stores.

The 28 Texas locations acquired by Empire are part of a larger CST sale conducted by NRC Realty & Capital Advisors LLC that consisted of former CST convenience stores with gas located throughout Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.

Empire Petroleum is a leading motor fuels distributor of top brands including Shell, Chevron, Valero, Sunoco, BP, Exxon, CITGO, Mobil, Marathon, Texaco, Gulf and ConocoPhillips. Empire currently distributes more than 600 million gallons of motor fuel products to more than 1,200 customers in 29 states.
