Englefield Oil Buys 43 BP Sites

COLUMBUS, Ohio – As part of its previously announced plan to sell all of its retail sites in the U.S., BP North America signed agreements to sell 43 BP convenience stores in the area here to Englefield Oil Co., the Columbus Dispatch reported.

Engelfield owns 95 Duke and Duchess Shoppes in Ohio and West Virginia. With this transaction, which is expected to be completed next month, the company will have annual sales of more than $1 billion, according to the report.

Most of the 43 stations are ampm branded, and Englefield plans to maintain those banners. Those stores included in the transaction that are not ampm-branded will be reimaged to the Duke and Duchess name, the report stated.
