Entry Deadline Extended for CSNews Category Captains Awards

JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- The entry deadline for Convenience Store News' newly relaunched Category Captains awards program has been extended by one week. Nominations will now be accepted through April 8.

The Category Captains awards recognize and honor suppliers for overall excellence in innovative, creative and profit-generating category management platforms. This year's program was redesigned to be more relevant to both convenience store industry retailers and suppliers.

Awards will be presented in 20 categories. Entries will be evaluated on such factors as how the supplier supported customers' needs and built sales in the category overall; what new programs, technologies, business systems, merchandising schemes or promotional tactics were employed; and what their retailer partners think of their category management platform.

Suppliers can nominate themselves using the online entry form. Entries must include an overview synopsis of 800 words or less about their category leadership, a high-resolution company logo and a photo of the products or lines offered.
