ExxonMobil Ranks Among World's Most Admired Companies

IRVING, Texas -- ExxonMobil Corp. is once again one of Fortune magazine’s "World's Most Admired Companies."

The Irving, Texas-based oil giant landed at No. 25 on the list, and also ranked No. 1 among petroleum refining companies. The company recorded nearly $45 billion in net profits last year, up 9.3 percent from 2011.

"ExxonMobil maintains its title as the world's largest oil and gas corporation and recorded an impressive year on Wall Street in 2012," according to the magazine.

The company is currently making moves overseas, and expanding on its cooperation with Rosneft, Russia's largest oil producer, to further explore natural gas reserves in the Russian Arctic, the report added.

Other food and beverage industry-related companies appearing on the list are The Coca-Cola Co. at No. 4, Starbucks at No. 5, McDonald's at No. 12, Nestlè at No. 32, and PepsiCo at No. 37.
