GasAmerica Unveils New Miami Subs Grill at Indiana Location
GREENFIELD, Ind. -- Looking to optimize the popularity of convenience stores, New Miami Subs Grill has opened its first franchise unit with GasAmerica, a regional gas and convenience store chain. Consumers in the Greenfield area now have an added food option with the opening of a 2,000-square-foot Miami Grill at a local Convenience Mart Stop.
"The gas and convenience store sector is one of the fastest growing segments of our franchise initiative," Lawrence Austin, a principal in New Miami Subs Grill said in a released statement. Austin heads up the company’s franchise development team. "We are delighted to have partnered with such an outstanding, well-known company like GasAmerica. They truly understand the value of customer service and a quality fast casual restaurant concept in connection with its gas and convenience store offerings."
"We looked at a number of food concepts and found the New Miami Subs Grill concept the best restaurant chain for GasAmerica to partner with as it offers many options for our customers," said Stephanie White, chief executive officer of GasAmerica. "We believe our Miami Grill will serve as a destination restaurant for a casual lunch or dinner. It also gives our customers an opportunity to grab one of the many Miami Subs offerings on the go while fueling their vehicles, and, for the first time in North America, have their meals as well as all our convenience store items delivered to their home or office through the New Miami Subs National ‘one-number, all locations delivery system.’"
According to Austin, the two companies are in talks to locate a Miami Grill at other GasAmerica locations and plan to roll out additional units this year.
"This is very forward thinking by GasAmerica and we believe the delivery of convenience store items along with a lunch or dinner order is a first in the industry. What sets our system apart from a typical delivery system is utilizing a national one-number system with a domestic-based call center taking delivery orders so our in-store crew can be attentive to customers and without the distraction of answering a phone. Orders will be sent directly to the POS system and kitchen monitors," Austin said. "Customers calling for home or office delivery will speak to trained, courteous telephone order takers whose entire focus is to assist and satisfy that particular customer and all of their needs at that moment."
There will be one small change with the opening of this New Miami Subs Grill unit: the name. For this initial unit, the two companies have chosen the name Miami Grill instead of Miami Subs. "We didn’t want potential patrons unfamiliar with the Miami Subs extensive menu to confuse us with a simple ‘sub shop’ as we will offer all of our great menu items from Miami Subs famous Philly Cheesesteaks and wings, to our pizza and gyros," White explained. "When we choose our next location we will discuss the name with Miami Subs to determine if that philosophy works, or if we go with the New Miami Subs Grill."
