GetGo Stores Offer Convenient Kids Meals

PITTSBURGH -- Supermarket retailer Giant Eagle Inc. now provides customers with food choices that offer both nutrition and quality in a convenient kids meal at its 20 GetGo convenience store locations throughout Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Only those GetGo c-stores that are freestanding, separate entities from Giant Eagle supermarkets will offer the kids meals.

The goal of the GetGo Kids Meals is to offer parents options that appeal to kids while still managing to deliver on the GetGo promise of "Get In, Get Out and Get Going."

"We understand that our customers are busy, but they still value quality food for their kids," said Giant Eagle vice president of marketing Kevin Srigley. "The GetGo Kids Meals offer convenient and nutritious meal choices while also delivering great quality and freshness."

GetGo Kids Meals let children choose from a sub sandwich, chicken tenders or hot dog combined with a piece of fresh fruit and a choice of 2 percent milk, 100 percent juice or a small fountain drink/frozen beverage. A hot cookie and a toy complete the meal.

The Kids Meals will retail for $3.99, but the introductory price will be $2.99 for a limited time with a Giant Eagle Advantage Card or fresh food purchase.
