Giant Eagle GetGo Offers Western Union Money Transfer

PITTSBURG, Pa. -- Supermarket chain Giant Eagle will provide Western Union Money Transfer services to Giant Eagle customers in more than 260 of the retailer's locations across western Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland, Datamonitor reported.

"Together, our businesses provide value and convenience to consumers," Chris Kawula, senior vice president of sales and account management for Western Union, said in the report. "Our agreement with Giant Eagle is part of Western Union's focus to offer consumers convenient money transfer services when sending money around the corner and the world."

Western Union services will be available at participating Giant Eagle, Market District, Giant Eagle Express and GetGo convenience store agent locations, according to the report.

All participating stores will offer Western Union Money Order payment instruments and many will allow consumers to send their bill payments using the Western Union Convenience Pay service, Western Union said in the report.
