Gilbarco Certifies Excentus Loyalty Program

Gilbarco Inc. announced the certification of Reward Link, part of the Reward Marketplace suite of products and services, from Excentus Corp., in Irving, Texas, for use with the Gilbarco Passport point-of-sale system with Version 6 software.

"Retailers who want to build repeat business and increase inside sales and fuel volume will find Passport's interface to the Excentus Reward Marketplace to be a perfect solution," said Kirsten Paust, Gilbarco's vice president of global retail systems. "This is exactly what the industry needs to help retailers develop customized loyalty programs and differentiate themselves in the minds of consumers."

Passport Version 6 software features Gilbarco's fully integrated, generic, loyalty program interface that simplifies integration and enables retailers to choose providers like Excentus.

The Excentus Reward Marketplace program rewards consumers for in-store purchases with free or discounted fuel, the company reported. When customers swipe their loyalty cards at the dispenser, the display will show the cents off per gallon available, and once a payment type is selected at the dispenser, the price per gallon on each fuel grade will roll back to the discounted price and allow the customer to fuel to the configured gallon fill limit. Also, the dispenser will print a receipt showing the customer the amount saved.

"We have worked closely with Excentus in certifying the system," said Paust. "A key part of our strategy with Passport is to continue to aggressively build programs, applications, and solutions with outstanding providers like Excentus."

Passport POS with the interface to the Excentus Reward Marketplace will be on exhibit at the NACStech show, Gilbarco Veeder-Root booth # 143, at Nashville’s Gaylord Opryland Hotel April 30 -- May 2.
