Gilbarco North America Gains New President

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Mike Schulte became president of Gilbarco North America today, reporting to Martin Gafinowitz, Danaher Group executive and president Gilbarco Veeder-Root. His appointment signals a continued investment in the North American business by Gilbarco and a commitment to the retail and commercial fueling sites in the region, the company reported.

"This will be a great step for the business," said Gafinowitz. "Mike will greatly strengthen Gilbarco's team and bring a proven focus to our customers and the needs of the North American market, in particular."

Schulte was most recently president of Hennessy Industries, and held numerous leadership positions with other Danaher companies since 1998, including director of marketing and vice president/general manager of Encoders, while at Sensors and Controls; president Europe; president Linear Motion; and senior vice president of sales and marketing while at Danaher Motion. Prior to joining Danaher, Schulte worked as a consultant for Boston Consulting Group, and began his career in sales at General Motors.

Schulte has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelors in Management Systems from GMI Engineering and Management Institute. He will be based in Greensboro, N.C.
