Gilbarco Passport Now Controls Mix of Gas Pump Brands at Same Site

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Tokheim dispenser and pay-at-the-pump control is now available in Passport point-of-sale (POS) system software versions 8.02 and 8.03 for the following:

-- BP
-- Concord (Gulf, Sinclair, Sunoco, Valero, generics)
-- Chevron
-- ExxonMobil
-- Heartland Payment Systems – Dallas for CITGO, Marathon, and generics
-- NBS/Cenex
-- RBS WorldPay
-- Shell

Retailers using these brands can now use Passport to control Gilbarco, Tokheim, Wayne or a mix of dispenser and pay-at-the-pump brands at the same site, according to the company.

"We chose Passport because it addresses our PCI-DSS requirements and also provides a single solution to control the mix of dispenser brands across all our sites," James Scott, general manager at Nittany Oil Co. in State College, Pa., said in a released statement. "Passport is currently controlling Gilbarco, Wayne and Tokheim in our chain, allowing us to use a state-of-the-art system with our current installed base of dispensers on our islands."

Passport provides a highly intuitive touch screen interface that minimizes training time, errors and shrinkage, the company reported. It also offers seamless connectivity and standardization to support the largest number of third-party partners and programs, powerful business information and security features, sophisticated business growth tools and easy expandability.

"As retailers expand their network of sites, they often acquire sites with a mix of fueling dispenser brands," Andrew Robinson, director of point of sale marketing at Gilbarco Veeder-Root said in a release. "Passport now controls Gilbarco, Wayne and Tokheim dispensers and pay-at-the-pump -- and even a mixture of dispenser brands at the same site. This is a welcome benefit for operators who want to replace Tokheim dispensers a few at a time or replace knock offs."
