Green Oil Raises $23,000 for Charity

FAIRBURN, Ga. -- Keeping with the spirit of the holidays, locally based Geo. H. Green Oil Co. Inc. paid it forward this year by donating $23,000 to three different charities: The Empty Stocking Fund of Greater Atlanta, In His Great Name Ministry, and The Welcome House of Newnan, Ga., which provides shelter for at-risk women.

The 90-year-old company collected donations throughout the holiday season, and found plenty of support among its customer base, vendors, dealers and its two bustling truck stops -- the Fairburn Family Travel Center located off Interstate 85 at Exit 61, and the Greenway McStop Truck Stop off Interstate 85 at Exit 41.

"We are thrilled to share God's blessing with those in need," the Wyatt brothers, the company's owners, stated in a release.

Geo. H. Green Oil Co. Inc. operates more than 40 South Metro convenience stores and offers a wide variety of services to both residential and business clients in South Fulton, Fayette, Coweta and Clayton Counties in Georgia. The company also specializes in approved site development for several brands of gasoline, and its Director of Wholesale Operations John Cook served as chairman of the National Association of Shell Marketers (NASM) this year.
