Harbor Wholesale Grocery Acquires Paul Jackson Wholesale

TUMWATER, Wash. -- Regional grocery wholesaler Harbor Wholesale Grocery Inc. bought earlier this week all the assets of Paul Jackson Wholesale, an independent grocery and convenience distributor servicing the state of Oregon, reported Progressive Grocer, sister company to Convenience Store News.

The acquisition is the latest of several that have included Walla Walla, Wash.-based Bur-Bee Wholesale and Howard's Meats of Portland, Ore., in efforts to expand its reach in the West Coast by now adding California to the states it serves.

Paul Jackson will be operated under the Harbor Wholesale Grocery name.

Harbor Wholesale is a family-owned and operated full-service grocery distribution business that has served the Pacific Northwest for the past 84 years. With the purchase of Paul Jackson, it now distributes product in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and select regions of California and Alaska.
Harbor Wholesale Grocery also said it is currently one of the Top 20 convenience distributors in the country, the report stated.
